THE SHADOW OF THE AIR – CONVENT OF THE ARTS – ALCOVER (ALT CAMP)
Session 30 Let’s Talk Contemporary. “The Shadow of the Air”.
In the installation, in the middle of the cloister, there is an armillary sphere formed by three tires, which represents the Franciscan community, a community that developed an important educational task during the time of the Convent’s greatest splendor, in the 18th century.
There are also three tires fitted into the arches of the three entrances to the square-plan cloister.
From the inside of the fitted tires hang golden fabrics, evocative of an uncertain baroque of the church and Convent of Santa Anna in Alcover.
During the event, the rhapsode Enric López read the poems ” The Shadow of the Air ” by Josep M. Sala Valldaura and ” The Shape of the Air, the Form ” by Víctor Sunyol.
