ABOUT ME

My name is Jordi Plana, and I am a visual artist and sculptor with an extensive career in the field of plastic arts. My work is characterized by the fusion of natural and industrial materials, creating pieces that explore the relationship between nature and humanity.

For over thirty years, I have developed artistic projects that have been exhibited in galleries and public spaces, both nationally and internationally. My passion for art has led me to experiment with different techniques and materials, always with the aim of transmitting emotions and reflections on the world around us.

This website is a window into my creative universe, where you can discover my most recent works, as well as those that have marked my career. I hope you enjoy the journey through my work and that it inspires you to see the world with a new perspective.

About me visual artist

In my childhood I spent my summers on the beach of Altafulla fascinated by the sea and its seabed. His interest in modeling the sand on the beach turned him into a constructor of shapes that he could assemble and disassemble with ease.

His studies focused on sculpture and jewelry at the Massana School, linking with a degree in Fine Arts, and working as a teacher at the Higher Schools of Arts, Crafts and Design, also obtaining several scholarships for stays and learning such as the “National Sculpture Factory” in Ireland.

The first exhibitions, both collective and individual, revealed a look towards sculptural and visual values, establishing connections between different disciplines and building from industrial and recycled elements, with clear references to Pop Art and Land Art.

His work will evolve towards internal reflection with a certain autobiographical touch, and extreme curiosity will lead him to work with materials specific to the territory, searching for information in cultural and traditional ethnography to create what he wants to express.
